WordPress 2.7 is nearly here and it looks like the guys have been busy. WP2.7 provides a whole new experience for administrators and readers.

Some improvements include:

• New Dashboard layout and functionality
• The ability to mass edits posts and pages
• Quick/Inline edits
• Direct posting from the Dashboard
• Sticky posts
• Plus many more.

Lorelle VanFossen of Lorelle on WordPress believes that the release is iminent.

Rumors are still flying, but it appears that WordPress 2.7, the long awaited new version of WordPress with a new interface, will be released within the next few days, possibly a week.

Her blog post also provides more details of the changes. I haven’t tried any of the Release Candidates yet. I’ll think i’ll just wait for the full release now.
