Microsoft has placed Vista SP1 on Windows Update. While Vista SP1 has been out for a while only now will it be shoveled to everyone via the interweb.

I personally have been using SP1 for about 2 weeks now and I have not had an issue with it. But, and a big but it is, I have not seen an improvement in speed or responsiveness. On a good note, copying files to other folders no longer takes three days.

In anticipation for the support calls and the complaining that is bound to occur, Microsoft have decided to release SP1 in batches to Windows Update users. Hence why some of you Vista users haven’t already started downloading the update.

I have to say my experience with the download and install was a pleasant one. Downlaod and install took just over 30 minutes in total. A big improvement over SP2 for Windows XP.

Any one else had any other experience of the Vista SP1?
